Banged From Behind!

It was raining quite heavily again today when we were going home! We saw 2 accidents on the highway today.. both were caused by a dumb nut who knocked the poor victim from behind!

The first accident was TERRIBLE! The victim's car was totally smashed both at the back (cus it was knocked by the other car) n the front (cus it hit the middle divider when it was knocked)!

The other accident happened on the opposite road.. in the middle of the road! That caused quite a jam!

Anyways.. js finished watching a movie a few minutes ago. It was Rise: Blood Hunter. It's an awesome movie about vampires and assasinations. Really cool! Not as scary as I thought it was. In fact not scary at all!

Aargh! Ppl can js be such dumb shits sometimes! I'm talking about some ppl in my college who think we chef students are some kind of phychics!

First case.. I js hate it when those dingbats don't talk or say what they want! They js point at something, as if I can read they're mind, expecting me to get it for them. For God's sake! He gave you a mouth to talk so talk you dimwits.. or should I say.. dumb wits!

Second.. ppl who say they don't want something n ask for it after that. Like for example, it happened today itself. This African girl asked for tea. When the kakak at the cashier asked her whether she wanted tea with milk, she said she didn't want it.. she only want plain hot tea. But when I gave her the tea, she asked; "Where iz da milk?". Stupid girl! Make up your freaking mind!

Third.. ppl who are js SO rude! Example.. an African girl (again!), bought a pastry from us n then wanted to get a drink from the small fridge thingy.. walked to the cashier.. she practically js dropped the bag on the counter before getting her drink! Biatch! She couldn't even put it down nicely!

Seriously, some of the Africans in my college are such bastards n bitches! Such wannabes n sluts n their so rude sometimes! N boy do they LOVE their tomato ketchup! They eat it with practically everything they eat! Fried rice.. chap fan (economy rice).. chicken chops.. n even (I saw once), with spaghetti cabonara!

We (Darren, Adrian, Christy n I) were js about to leave the college after I was finished with my PM Module when it started raining bloody heavily! Worst still, I was supposed to pass a piece of cake to Nicky DS (cus I promised her one), who was at Louise's place. I js couldn't give it to her cus the rain was SO heavy n we didn't wanna risk going all the way there.. so we went straight home.

At the main road leading to college, guess what we saw? This..

A car stuck in the middle divider of the road! Haha! So funny! We slowed down straight away (cus it was near the Petronas petrol station) n Adrian used Darren's cam to take pics of it. I'm still wondering what actually happened..! This is the first time I've seen something like this. Really pity the poor fella but it's still hilarious!

Anyways.. Happy Birthday lil' nephew!

Sore And Itchy

Shiats! I felt so sick all of a sudden late in the afternoon! Kept on feeling sicker n sicker as the day went on!

I caught the dry cough n the flu if I'm not mistaken cus whenever I coughed, my throat will feel really itchy n my body even started to ache. I actually found out I had the dry cough in the morning but I dind't expect to feel sicker!

"Oh Lord! Please make me get better in the night so that I can go for my PM Module 2mrw! Amen!"

The Constant Aching Feeling

So sorry for not updating my blog the past few weeks! I have been really busy with exams n also my part-time work.

Had my end of semester exams on the 2nd last week of September before starting our Project Module from October (after Raya) till the end of Nov (8 weeks in total). Yup.. my CULA 10 coursemates and I have started our PM Module. It has been 2 days since we started it so far. Yesterday n today. We were a total mess during the 1st few hours of the day (since we've started it at 6 in the morning.. yes, we hafta wake up at 5am every morning n get to coll by 6am!).. but we got the hang of it after that. It's really tiring since we have to wake up SO early n then stand at our stations till morning till about 5pm to sell our yummy food.

Anyways.. Darren n I was asked to work during the Raya holidays cus the 1U outlet was in desperate need of more service staffs. So, for me, I worked at the Desa ParkCity outlet in the morning n at the 1U outlet in the evening (Darren n Szen worked the oposite.. I was paired with this other girl from our outlet). It was really tiring but worth it cus.. we're gonna get over time pay n triple pay, since it's a public holiday. Haha! So happy!

Yay! Js found out that I got a new job yesterday afternoon! Where you might ask? At BBQ Chicken at Desa ParkCity Waterfront. It's a franchise from Korea. Really famous there. There's already many franchises in a few countries all over the world. In Malaysia itself, there's already more than 10 franchises (there's one in 1U).

Anyways.. like I said, I js found out that I got the job in the afternoon, n already went to work that night itself! Honestly, this job is 10 time better than La Casa! Why..?

1st.. we get staff meals n we can drink the drinks from the soft drinks' dispenser.
2nd.. we get triple pay if we work on public holidays!
3rd.. we get incentives from the 10% service charge. Better sales.. more incentives!

We really had a great 1st day of work! Ate the Jerk BBQ Chicken n even got to drink Cafe Latte n Mochachino bcus they taught us how to make some of their drinks! Me likey!

Class Freezes Over

Js finished the first part of the CAD II (Culinary Arts & Design II) last week. We learnt how to create beautiful sculptures out of frozen water. We were taught 3 different types of ice sculptures.. trays, alphabets and free form ice sculptures (in 3 weeks). The lecturer will basically show us how to do the sculpture and then it'll be our turn to do it.

The classes were always freezing cold and wet! But we loved and enjoyed every minute of it!

Went to watch Penelope at 1U js now with Darren, Munnie and Marcus. Awesome film! It's a little sad cus of all those guys who run off screaming like girls when they see her face like she's some kind of monster. But it's still funny tho.

Went to The Curve with 3 of the Tuna girls, Krys n Darren to celebrate Merdeka Eve on Saturday. It was kind of a small celebration this year compared to what we did for last year's Merdeka Eve celebration. But it was still fun!

The girls all felt like eating rice so went to have our dinner at Dragon-i. We ordered dishes to share n it was awesome! It was really family-reunion-ish bcus we sat at a round table with a lazy susan in the middle.

After dinner, we decided to go drink n hang out (while waiting for the countown) at Laundry but the plans were 'destroyed' when we found out that there was a special Circus Merdeka Eve party n we would have to pay a RM50 entry fee js to get in! What a bummer! So, instead, we went to explore the bazaar for a while n then decided to go watch Death Race cus Krys watched it b4 n said it was awesome (n she wanted to watch it a 2nd time). Boy was she right! It was really orgasmastic! A real must watch movie! The movie finished js in time for us to catch the fireworks display which was not that nice (I've seen better).

We went home after that but got caught in a massive jam for about an hour or so. Darren n I only reached home at bout 2 something after fetching the girls back.

Darren n I went to watch You Don't Mess With The Zohan at 1U js now. It was really funny but honestly not worth watching it in the cinema cus lots of scenes were cut, so it's so much more worth it if you buy a DVD n watched it uncensored.

The 2nd movie we watched was Son Of Rambow. It was also a story about friendship but this time it was between a 'religious' boy n a school rebel. It is a Brit movie n most of the main cast are kids n teens. Oh ya.. guess what? The Gossip Girl star, Ed Westwick (who acted as Chuck Bass) is in the movie as well.

All I can say is that Darren n I are really good at picking out random movies bcus out of all the DVDs we've watched so far.. they were awesome!

They 1st visited the headquarters n factory in St Louis n then they extended their stay to visit my mum's friend who stays at LA n also to visit San Fransisco. Watched St Trinian's yesterday night with Darren. This was one of the DVDs we bought in Bali. A really awesome movie! So happy I bought it!

Js imagine.. the St Trinian girls are total rebels but they are real geniuses (they don't know they are tho). And the school is awesome (in a bad way).. they're Headmistress doesn't give a shit about what the girls do.. the teachers' lounge has a bar (where the lunch lady makes drinks for all of them).. and the girls get to dress howwver they want. If only our schools were like that! Wicked!

St Trinian's

St Trinian's is an anarchical school for uncontrollable girls and they proudly continues to represent the unacceptable face of British education. The school has a number of different cliques - Posh Totty, Chavs, Emos, Geeks and First Years. When the new Minister of Education announces he will personally sort the place out, he doesn't realise either the enormity of the task or that the headmistress is an old flame. The school is anyway threatened with closure by their bank; with the staff clearly a waste of space, the girls realise the responsibility to save the day falls on them and they do so by stealing the painting 'Girl With A Pearl Earring'.

Here's some of the things I did during my recent semester break..

- Darren n I saw 5 silver Myvis, all parked in a row, at the college car park. The second one from the right is ours.

- I made creme brulee. Sooo good..!

- My family n I went for my dad's friends' surprise b'day dinner. It was planned by his wife. He came home kinda late so we had to wait for him. We were all starving when he finally reached home.

- I made a Strawberry Cheesecake Trifle for the surprise party. It was so absofcukinglutely awesome!

- Got a job with Darren n Steph at La Casa in Desa ParkCity Waterfront. I worked as a kitchen helper while Darren n Steph were waiters. We work from 11am-3pm. Was fun at first but irritating after a few days cus of this particular kitchen mate who was very blur n kept reapeating the words he said at least twice. We also didn't like the fact that we were not provided with lunch. How dumb is that?!

- Had a farewell for one of my church friend, Jonathan, who was going off to Rompin, Negeri Sembilan for his new job.

Primary Reunion

Darren, Szen n I went to Starbucks at 1U this afternoon for a reunion with our primary school (SK Taman Bukit Maluri) friends. The one who started this meet was Lalitha and Tana Kumar. They sent out invites thru Facebook to many of our old TBM friends n got many feedbacks. Some couldn't come bcus of personal reasons but quite a few said they would/might come (about 22 ppl).

But.. in the end, guess how many ppl showed up? Only 8..! What a bummer! The only ppl who showed up on time (we were told to met at 2pm) where Darren, Szen, Andrea n I. We waited for about 2 hrs chatting n (litarally) sipping our drinks before three others showed up.. Tana, Harvind (aka Moley) n Eric Phua. N a few more minutes later, two more (Lalitha n Jessica) showed up. We ended up going to A&W (cus the 3 other guys we hungry) n catched up with everyone's current lives n even gossiped about some of our old classmates whom we disliked (cus they were kinda wierd).

Then, we went to do a little window shopping but some of us ended up buying some stuff (all from Pull & Bear).. I bought two t-shirts, Darren bought one, Andrea bought a belt n Jessica bought a necklace.

Well.. only a few of us showed up, but at least we still had fun!

One more thing.. Darren, Szen n I actually saw/met Huey Yi (with her bf) when we arrived at Starbucks n immediately thought she came for the reunion but later found out that she was actually working at Italiannies (which was js next to Starbucks) n they were js about to go hav their lunch. False alarm!

Those were SOME of my reactions when I was watching these videos. I watched it from Ean's (from the hitz Party) blog.

The video was about this thing he did for one of his listeners, Sam, who challenged him last Friday's Eh! Apa Itu. Sam said that he could answer anything Ean threw at him.. and he did js that. So, bcus Sam won the challenge, Ean brought him into the studio.

Anyways.. back to why it's so disgusting. It's bcus Ean was asked to eat stuff that are js so revolting. He ate toenails (Sam's) with Pineapple Fried Rice, drank chocolate milk with snot and live crickets! Enjoy..!

Went to MidValley to watch Hancock a few Fridays back, with Adrian, Christy, Jon Ti and Darren. The movie was okay, quite funny. But the only thing was the storyline was quite different compared to the trailers shown on tv. Not what you expect to happen.

Anyways, after the movie, we went window shopping at some shops in MV and The Gardens. We found this absofcukinglutely awesome art shop at Gardens that sells every single thing you can imagine that an artist needs. We really spent a lot of time at the art shop googling over all the fascinating stuff in it.

We then went to Jon's hse to have some booze and chit chat till bout 5 something and then we had to go home cus it nearly time for dinner. We really had a fun but tiring day!

Fishy Dinner

OMGosh la! Had an absofcukinglutely awesome dinner yesterday! It was a real bummer that Darren wasn't there to enjoy it cus he went to Louise's hse for a group study (with Nicky too) n he ate dinner with them.

Anyways.. some of my parents' friends (from my dad's direct-selling business) and also our (neighborhood) neighbors (who are also my dad's old friends.. the wife that is) came over for a (long) chat. So, since it was getting late, they decided to all go out for dinner together. All together there were 13 ppl..

- the Au Yong family (parents, 2 sons, 1 daughter n the husbands' dad)

We went to a restaurant in Kepong ~~(kinda forgot what it's called)~~, called Sai Gong, near Bethany Chapel. We were really lucky cus Uncle Au Yong brought 2 big-ass fishes (from a fish farm owned by him and his bros) for the dinner. It so happened that the staff were 'harvesting' the fishes that day. The fishes were awesomely fresh!

We practically js ate fish for dinner (plus a few other dishes like tofu with minced pork, salted fish pork and some vege). One fish (the smaller one.. a carp) was prepared with asam sauce. The other really big-ass one was cut into half and separated into 2 diff dishes.. the tail was fried and accompanied with soya sauce n fried garlic.. the head was steamed with some ginger paste thingy. Truthfully speaking, I have never eaten so much fish in my entire life!

Then, it was back to our hse for some freshly picked (pesticide-free) durian from Uncle Au Yong's family orchard. Delicious! There were even a few coconuts and a jackfruit but we were all famished. In the end, they took back the jackfruits and everyone took a few coconuts home.

Practically Oriental Exams

Had my International Cooking practical exams this morning. The atmosphere in the was really relaxed and calm compared the previous practical exams we had because we weren't all cramped up into one kitchen and we didn't have to fight for the stoves (we did have to share and take turns using some pots and pans tho cus there weren't enough). In the kitchen I was in itself (Connexions kitchen), there were only two teams of two (Hadi & I.. Kevin & Willy) and one guy who was on his own (Amir). We were invigilated by Mr Hamir (our former food carving lecturer).

For Hadi n I, we had to do one Chinese appetizer, one Japanese appetizer and one Taiwanese main course. The results..

Darren n I went to Cineleisure to watch Get Smart today after our classes were over. It was kind of a last minute thought cus we originally went there cus Darren wanted to go buy an earphone for his phone at a shop near the cinema, while I waited for him in the car outside. Then, he suddenly called me asking whether I want to go watch a movie since we were there. So I agreed and we went.

The movie was kinda hilarious. I really liked all the spy-tech gadgets like the exploding dental floss and the specially improved army knife (with mini cross bows, flame-thrower, etc). What shocked me were some of the cast members (I didn't know they were in the movie too) like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Agent 23, The Great Khali as Dalip Singh and Masi Oka as Bruce.

Anyways.. we watched one of our new DVDs last night. We watched Juno. Really enjoyed it. There was A LOT of sarcasm and zha-dao-ness. The songs played through out the whole movie were really quirky and the singing was kinda amateurish. But.. all in all, it was a really enjoyable teen movie.

I had a REALLY busy day last Friday. Went out the WHOLE day! We (Darren, Adrian, Christy n I) went to Petaling Street in the morning.. Mid Valley in the afternoon (to watch a movie).. Bangsar (to have dinner) n Damansara Heights (Jon Ti's hse to refresh ourselves) in the evening and Help University College at night (for a charity concert). Then, some of the Tuna girls, Darren n I went to Old Town White Coffee at Sri Sinar for supper after the event was over. Yup.. we were all totally exhausted at the end of the day!

Of Caramel & Green Tea

For today's practical class, we had Commodity Cooking (where we would have a themed ingredient every week and we would have to get recipes that uses that particular ingredient). So, this week's item was lemongrass. I decided to make Lemongrass Infused Creme Brulee. It was really nice and creamy (and lemongrassy) . The only thing gone wrong was that (I think) there wasn't enough egg yolks beaten into the mixture cus the baked custard was quite wet even though it was cooked for the right amount of time. Oh well.. better luck next time!

Then, Darren (being the mo liu person he is) asked me to take pics of him enjoying his 'lunch'. When I was done taking pics of him, he took pics of me for me. He then started to praise himself for taking such nice pics of me (mine wasn't that nice..).

Frozen Treats

"OMGosh la!!!"

"I must have at least gained a pound today!"

You wanna know why? I have been making, learning as well as eating/trying LOTSA desserts. Well.. I could have eaten a lil' less but how can I resist such yummy treats?!

First of all.. during my first class of the day, which was Food Production II. As I have said in one of my previous post, my lecturer wanted to train us for our exams by making us cook Black Box style. I wanted to do a dessert and since most of the other fruits were taken.. what was left was strawberries. So, after a long (and I mean LONG) thought.. I decided to do a strawberry mousse. I kinda did it wrongly tho (wrong steps) but it came out ok in the end. My course mate also made a really yummy dessert.. pavlova! A sweet chewy meringue topped with fruits! Awesome-ness!

Our second class was Pattiserrie III. Most of us were overjoyed and excited when we were told that we were learning how to make ice cream today! We did two different types of ice cream.. coconut ice cream and cardamom flavoured kulfi with pistachios (an Indian ice cream). It was absofcukinglutely awesome!!! The coconut ice cream I mean.. we haven't tried the kulfi tho cus it hasn't finish churning in the ice cream machine and it was time for our next class. So our lecturer said he would keep it for us and we could try it tomorrow. Can't wait! Anyways.. the coconut ice cream was js SO rich and SO coconutty (we used pure coconut milk) . Incredible!!!

Lastly.. Bakery Module. We learnt how to make two different items. First was Christmas Stolen (or otherwise known as Kerststole.. from Holland) and the second.. I'm not sure how to spell it (the name really long). It's a tradisional bread in Holland and it is a must to have during Christmas. It's a sweet loaf with lotsa candied fruits and sultanas. Sweet and yummy!

So all together.. yummy treats = gluttony = satisfaction + automatic weight gain!

Went to 1U to watch Made Of Honor with Darren today, cus Darren n I had no more class for the rest of the day. The movie was hilariously funny and silly. My favourite character was Grandma Pearl.. and her glow-in-the-dark thunder balls 'necklace'! Lolz.. silly innocent old woman!

I personally thought that the movie shouldn't be rated U tho. It should've been rated PG-13 instead (for sexual content and language). But what the heck..! I'm sure many 'innocent' minds have already been polluted anyways.

Well.. all in all, a definate must-watch movie. Go.. and laugh your hearts out! ROFLMAO!!!

Watched Snakes On The Plane on HBO a few days back with Darren. Movie was not bad. Really thrilling ,with all those snakes coming out from everywhere.

The only thing that made my day was the music video played at the end credits. It's titled Snakes On The Plane (Bring It) n it's performed by the lead singers of Cobra Starship, The Academy Is, Gym Class Heroes n The Sounds (all the bands that I like, except the latter.. never really heard they're songs before). Watch out for a cameo appearance by Samuel L Jackson n Pete Wentz (from Fall Out Boy).

A Day at Bangsar

I was already done for the day by 10am, n I was actually waiting for time to pass till it's 2pm so that I could take the KDU bus home. But then, Darren called n said that his class was canceled n that he was gonna meet up with Krys n Elissa at Bangsar (the girls went there for a shopping spree since they've recently js finished they're final A Level's exams). Anyways.. I decided to tag along as well.

We first fetched Nicky DS to the KL Sentral Train Station n then went to park our car at a basement parking somewhere behind Bangsar Village. A really nice find.. the parking rate there was only RM1 per hour.

So we then met up with the girls who were shopping at Gossips. Since we were all starving, we went to have lunch straight away. It was unanimous that we would eat Japanese so we headed for Sakae Sushi at Bangsar Village.

After a really delicious lunch.. we headed out to the streets of Bangsar for more shopping (well, only the girls actually). It was really tiring cus the sun was shining so brightly, the heat was extreme n most of the boutiques were all on the second n third floor of the buildings (lotsa stairs to climb)!

Anyways, we went from boutique to boutique n the girls tried quite a lot of clothes. Darren n I practically liked two shops called Mooie n Mocca (which were sister boutiques). They're shop interiors were really well decorated n designed. Both boutiques had a cafe inspired theme going on n Mooie also had a little playful side to the deco (lotsa soft toys n handmade monkeys all around).

After some tiring hours of shopping (walking in the hot sun.. the sickening heat.. all the stairs climbing), we decided to go get a nice cooling drink at Starbucks. I tried the new Dark Mocha Frappuccino.. yum!

Krys, Elissa n Darren were really satisfied with their day.. Krys (who bought the most) got 3 new pieces of clothing (from diff shops), Elissa bought a blue tee from Mooie n Darren bought something from Mooie too.. a handmade sock monkey. It's by Oooktopia n the monkeys are called Oooks. Best thing was Darren's one was a special edition cus it has clothes. I actually wanted to buy one too but the one I liked HAD to be purplish pink! Bummer right?!

"Oh Happy Day..!"

So proud of myself today. Cus.. for today's Food Production class, my lecturer started his plan of training us for our end of semester exams by making us cook Black Box style. For those who have no idea what Black Box is, it's a well-known cooking competition in the culinary arts world where chef's are presented with a black box (literally) containing a number of different ingredients. The chefs are then required to use all of the ingredients given to create their dishes.

So.. yup! We did today's class Black Box style. But just the what's in the box (I mean basket) part, which means we can only use whatever he has ordered from the suppliers. In the end I (somehow) figured out an appetizer that came out really nicely. My lecturer said mine was the best that day. Happiness is me!

Best still, the same thing happened at last week's class! Umm.. truth is, I actually got last week's dish and recipe from a cook book my friend brought. At least it turned out well!

I recently won a pair of seats to meet and have dinner with Kylie Kwong n yesterday was the day of the dinner.

So.. after Darren n I registered, we were assigned to sit at table 13, which was right at the back. But then, luck was on our side cus an Astro representative came n asked us to kindly move to table 7, which was righty at the front near the VIP table. Best still, Kylie was seated right behind me.

Anyways.. before dinner started, Kylie was introduced to all of us through a short video clip. When she came out, she told us about the wonderful 2 days she has ahd at Malaysia n also introduced her new upcoming show,Kylie Kwong: My China (where she actually went back to the Kwong ancestral village in Guangdong n also visit 9 other cities/places in China).

Darren and I had a great time at the dinner. We really enjoyed the chance we had to meet her.

Went to OU js now with some of my course mates after class was over. All of them wanted to watch Kungfu Panda but only one of my friend, Alex n I have seen it. So the both of us decided to watch something else. It was between The Orphanage n Amazing Grace, but we decided to watch the latter bcus we thought that would be so much better than watching a ghost movie. Boy were we wrong! I would so rather watch the ghost movie cus the Amazing Grace was kinda boring since it is based on a true story. Lotsa scenes in the Parliament room, with all the men debating n argueing about political matters. BORING!!!

So my advice to those planning to watch this movie.. forget it! Spend your money watching some other movie.

Went to watch Kungfu Panda at Cineleisure Damansara this morning with Adrian n Christy. Darren wass supposed to join us but he couldn't make it in the end cus he had a meeting wiht some frens of his about an assignment. It was really, really hilarious n everyone was laughing their heads of in the cinema. I even met one of the teachers from my mum's kindie, Ms Lai. She was also watching the movie, with her 2 sisters n their children.

Anyways.. while we were lining up to buy tickets for Kungfu Panda, I decided not to attend the practical class I hav at 1pm since the lecturer wasn't coming (but another one replaced him) n we weren't gonna learn anything new. So, all 3 of us decided to watch Prom Night as well. Boy it was thrilling! The way the teacher/killer/stalker creeps around n kills ppl who were connected to the girl he loves. I nearly jumped off my seat so many times. So here's my warning.. ppl with heart probs, DON'T watch it!

I attended the Molecular Cuisine Workshop at KDU College's Connexions today. It was hosted by KDU College n sponsered by CTI (Culinary & Hospitality Training International). The main aim of having this workshop was to introduce the world of molecular cooking to all chefs as well as chef students. They specially invited the German master chef, Chef Heiko Antoniewicz, to conduct the workshop. He is also known as the "magician of molecular cuisine".

We were shown many different new techniques of cooking n making food as well as new ways of plating n eating them too. It was a real eye opener. We were even provided with tea breaks n lunch. All in all, I really enjoyed the workshop n I feel that it was really worth paying RM250 for it.

A Trip To The Big Apple

It's not what you might think. No.. I did not go to New York City. I went to the new Big Apple Donuts & Coffee at Desa Parkcity Waterfront. Yup.. it's FINALLY opened!

I actually went to DPC to have lunch after church with my mum n my 2 brothers. We were finding for parking when we saw some "Congratulations!" bouquets in front of the shop n we knew straight away that it has finally been opened. So as a treat, my mum took us there to buy some donuts after lunch. We even bought a box for my parents' friends' children who were home alone cus they both went to South Africa for a business trip (well, it's their dad who went for the business trip.. their mum js tagged along for a holiday).

The service there was kinda sucky for a new shop. Most of the donuts were all finished but the staff did not make n replenish them. So we were left with only a few choices to choose from. Thank goodness those were also yummy.

Went to OU to watch Superhero Movie today wih Darren. We actually planned to watch What Happens in Las Vegas but the only time left was at 5pm n we didn't want to wait till then. So, we thought "Let's watch Drillbit Taylor instead" but then the show has already started n the next show was also at 5pm. In the end we watched the Superhero Movie.

Before the movie, we went to have lunch with our mum at Vietnam Kitchen. The food there was as yummy as always.

So, back to the movie, it was as hilarious and silly as the Scary Movie(s). It was also kinda obvious that the movie was very ala Spiderman.

Btw.. did you know that there are more scenes shown after some of the credits. They're actually deleted scenes (which Darren n I thought would be so much nicer if those scenes were in the movie). Darren n I suspected something was up cus the cinema light weren't switched on even though the credits has already started rolling for a few minutes.

After the movie, we met up with our mum again. Darren n I bought some new Durban shirts at a sale held outside U-Parkson. We kinda got for free actually cus my mum used some vouchers she got from buying some cosmetics.

After that, we decided to eat dinner at OU n ta pao food for our younger brother n dad. Since we were at U-Parkson n the new Sushi Zanmai was js a few feet away, we decided to eat there!

The food was absofcukinglutely scrumdiliyumshious n fresh! We ate ordered a salad n an unagi bento thingy to share n then ate lotsa sushi. AWESOME-NESS!!!

Btw, some kinda embarrassing happened to Darren. Well, the waitress who gave us our drinks placed my mum's hot ocha quite near the edge of the table n Darren hand. After we were done ordering, Darren closed his menu n knocked over the cup. Luckily both Darren n my mum caught the cup, if not, the cup would have been brocken. But alas, some of the hot ocha spilled on the floor n a few drops dripped onto my mum's leg. What a scene! Lolz..

Yup.. we have a new pet! Well, it actually belongs to my younger brother, Hsin Yue. What's the pet you might ask? It a Syrian hamster.

My mum finally brought him to the the pet shop at Desa Parkcity Waterfront to buy it after he pestered her for it for a few days now, since the holidays started. It's so adorable n it is still a young baby if I'm not mistaken.

So, naming the hamster. Darren actually suggested a few silly names like Furball, Leslie, Hammy, Stuart, etc. Lolz.. we really had a few laughs during this 'naming the hamster' session. So, since Hsin Yue had a senior in school name Tammy (who stays in DPC n my mum also sends her home sometimes), he decided to go with Hammy.

Now, Hsin Yue's so excited about this new hamster of his, he's planning on getting another one. They're very cheap anyways.. only RM15.

Went to watch Indiana Jones at OU today (with Darren, Louise, Nicky DS n Grace). The show was better than I expected n special thanks to Darren for convincing me to go watch it (cus I wasn't planning to watch this movie in the 1st place).

Kinda Fun & Crazy Day

Really WTF man! Went to college this morning for Kitchen Maintenance & Design, which is at 8 in the morning n found out that the class was canceled. There were only 8 of us out of our whole intake who didn't get the msg. Worst still, we couldn't go home js yet bcus we had a meeting with our SHTCA's assistant head lecturer about our upcoming semester's PM Module (where we have to run some stalls in the cafeteria) at 2pm.

So, in the end we all decided to go somewhere to eat breakfast n then hang out at our friend, Justin's hse till 2pm. Well, only 7 of us actually, cus the other 1 FFK, cus he had to go fetch his mum from somewhere it seems. We ended up going to the McD, near Giant, for breakfast. I ate the Sausage Egg McMuffin set.

The 'best thing' that happened when we were at McD was that there's this friend of ours who always 'cakap banyak' (no names mentioned but sorry if you see this). The thing is that he was talking about how we will all gain weight eating all the McD food n when we said "Aren't you quite fat yourself n also eat a lot of food?", he said that he's big boned, not fat, n he that plays sports. He said that he will not eat such fattening food n he will go next door to eat nasi padang. Well, guess what did he end up eating at the end? He came back n said "Wah, so expensive!" n bought something to eat from McD. What did he buy? A 'Big Breakfast meal", a cup of Coke n not only that, a 'Pancake n Sausage meal". Who the fatty fatty bom bom now??!!

Well, after breakfast, we headed for Justin's hse n we all took turns playing his PS3. He has fcuking a lot of games! The new Grand Theft Auto, Devil Must Cry, Call Of Duty (which was really sucky to play using a controller), etc. We even watched some Gabriel Iglesias clips on YouTube. Hilarious!

For lunch, some of us went to a coffee shop at nearby Atria to eat 'char siu fan'. It was awesome man! The pieces of 'char siu' was succulent n js fatty enough! Yummm..!

So, that was practically what my friends n I did from 8am till 2pm. It was kind off a fun n crazy day!

Went to watch Prince Caspian today with Darren n Louise. The movie was awesome n so much better than the 1st one. The graphics n storylines was fantastic! Really enjoyed it! Can't wait for the next one to be out!

*A note to all Christians who's going watch this movie.. watch out for Christian teachings n messages. The author of the Chronicles of Narnia was really clever to use some of these teachings in the storyline.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

One year later, the Kings and Queens of Narnia find themselves back in that faraway wondrous realm, only to discover that more than 1,300 years have passed in Narnian time. Happiness is me!!!

Went to see Marié Digby at One Utama yesterday evening. She was totally absofcukinglutely awesome to the max! Both her songs and her looks! There were a crazy amount of fans n curious ppl who came to watch her sing live. I even specially bought her album so that I could get her to autograph it. She even more gorgeous up close! Kesian.. Darren can't go in. Only one person (if u're in a group) could go in to meet her n get her autograph, or if u hav her album.

Had an awesome time except for the crowd of sweating ppl, all around, and the sea of hands trying to snap a photo of her (n at the same time blocking our view of her). My legs were really sore after all the tip-toe-ing, trying get a glimps of her. But all that effort was really worth the while.

Btw, for those of you who haven't got a clue who she is.. Marié Chirstina Digby is of Japanese Irish parentage, hence her Eurasian look. She was actually some random American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist, who posted a homemade video of herself singing an accoustic version of Rihanna's Umbrella on her YouTube account in 2007. After some time, the amount of views grew n grew n she got really popular ever since.

Her first official single, "Say It Again", was released to radio stations on January 18, 2008 and her debut album, Unfold, was released on April 8, 2008.

Lunch at a Bookshop

I had a replacement class today so I had to go to college.So, Darren n Krys took advantage of that as a chance to go to OU. But they didn't go there to shop as you might be thinking, they actually went there to study! Surprising huh?

Did you know that at the first floor of the MPH bookshop, right at the back, there is a cafe and also a member's reading lounge? Darren n Krys went to the cafe [The Book Cafe] to study since they weren't MPH members.

At the Book Cafe, they sell mostly ordinary cafe items, such as tea, milkshakes n even Malaysian n Western food. So when I went to meet them there after my practical class was over, we decided to have lunch there.

I was really unsatisfied with mine [cheese n mushroom sandwich] bcus in one slice of sandwich, there was only about 3-4 slices of mushrooms! So pathetic! Only Darren's one was the most worth it cus Krys's had chicken n it was really small. So my advice, if you ever go there to eat, choose wisely!

This is 14yo George Sampson. He's a streetdancer who dances in the streets of Manchester to get money. This is bcus his family is quite poor so this is his way of getting money for his dance lessons n expences.

He actually auditioned in last years' Britain's Got Talent.. got through but didn't make the final cut. So he practiced really hard for the rest of the year n he came back for the 2008 audition.

He is blardy talented for such a young dancer! Totally awesome moves!

Oh my gosh la! Watch this video that my dad sent to me.. damn absofcukinglutely awesome!

It's about this woman from China. She was born without hands, so she has practically used her feet as hands all her life. She can plant vege, slice food, make noodles, cook, sew n even catch crabs! Blardy talented!

One bad thing about this video tho.. is that it's in Cantonese n since the woman is from China, she n her family comunicates in Mandarin. Worst still.. they speak one of those weird dialects spoken in China. I myself could hardly understand wtf they're talking about.. -__-"

Yipee!!! I'm off to Singapore for FHA [Food Hotel Asia] tmrw! Really excited! Will be back on Thursday.

But then again.. I'm ~~a little~~ really bummed out about something. Why must the freaking Singapore trip be on the same day as the dinner that I won??!!

For those of you who hasn't got a clue of what I'm saying, I actually entered a contest organized by Astro's Travel & Living Channel n I won! The prize was a dinner for two with Curtis Stone [the famous chef from Surfing The Menu n his current one, Take Home Chef]. It was for 20 winners n the best thing was Curtis himself was gonna cook for the winners!

And now i can't go!!! *SOBZ!!!*

*SIGH* Oh well! At least I won something so far in my life. Hopefully there will be another contest like this one n I'll be lucky enough again to win the damn contest! Gambate!

Darren n I went to make our passports today bcus we had to renew it n I'm going to Singapore next next week. We got our new passports quite fast n we even met up with Su Szen to have a drink at Ali Maju.

Darren n I then went to Cineleisure to watch The Watter Horse: The Legend Of The Deep. It was a really really good movie. A nice take to the legend of the Loch Ness monster, otherwise known as Nessie.

After the movie, we made it back to college just in time for our PARTs practice.

A Farewell n a Movie

Darren, Krystal, Joyce, Adrian, Christy n I went out with Thivya to celebrate her 19th b'day yesterday. We went to eat at Sri Melaka n we even visited the Triumph expo.

Later in the the evening, Thiv, Joyce, Darren n I headed to Duta Nusantara for Kosheila's farewell party, at the housing area's public pool, bcus she's going of to Hawaii to further her studies. Kosh's church member actually volunteered to have that pool party for Kosh since she lived there. Sooo lucky! We all had a really great time swimming n playing around in the pool n even looking n drooling over all the beautiful big-ass houses there.

Since the party started quite early in the evening, we all got worn out quite early n some of us even headed home. But some of us.. Joyce, Kosh, Darren, two other friends n I.. decided to go watch a movie at Cineleisure Damansara. We rushed to the cinema n managed to make it for the 9 something movie for 27 Dresses, since Kosh wanted to watch it so badly.
